Greenwich, ranking GOP senator on the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee,
has argued for the past several years that while Connecticut should not be
paying interest to cover operating costs, some legislators also have lost track
of the principal debt the state has racked up to balance its budget.
"If you're moving expenses from the General Fund ledger to bonding, are
you saving the taxpayers' money? The answer is 'no,'" Frantz said.
"Borrowing is an enabling way for the state to spend more without people

Charged in $1 Billion Medicare Fraud andMoney Laundering Scheme
The
owner of more than 30 Miami area skilled nursing and assisted living
facilities, a hospital administrator and a physician assistant were charged
with conspiracy, obstruction, money laundering and health care fraud in
connection with a $1 billion scheme involving numerous Miami-based health care
providers.

in Charge George L. Piro of the FBI Miami Field
