Today, entrenched politicians are shunned and mavericks such as DONALD TRUMP and BERNIE SANDERS have taken center stage in the 2016 Presidential campaign.

Although their political philosophies may differ, both men are leading their challengers due to their no nonsense, no apologies, tell it like it is, rhetoric.  And it appears the public loves it and the press can’t get enough.  Will the momentum continue?  Time will tell!

But months ago many believed Trump did not have staying power.  Months later,  his adversaries have been proven wrong as headlines  read Fed-up and angry supporters let Trump defy political gravity and Poll: Trump beats Hillary head-to-head.

Bernie Sanders has stepped out front among the Democrat contenders garnering headlines such as Sanders fires back at Clinton's subtle dig and announcing Bernie Sanders joins a picket line in Cedar Rapids to protest a union lockout while proclaiming "We are sick and tired of the war against working families".  USAtoday has just reported ... Poll: Sanders takes lead over Clinton in N.H.

But regardless who ends up on the ballot in November, 2016 among the many who have announced their intensions to run for the office of President, TRUMP AND SANDERS have set the stage for what could ultimately be the longest lines in voting history on November 8, 2016!  Susan Kniep

A tale of patronage, civil service and Malloy’s GOP aides

They are a trio with impeccable Republican resumes. One served as executive director of the state GOP. All three did stints as a chief of staff for a Republican caucus at the General Assembly. They now serve Gov. Dannel P. Malloy as legislative liaisons, Republicans in the odd position of being paid to explain, defend and advocate the policies of a Democratic administration. Malloy Administration Tries To Place 22 of the 95 Laid-Off Labor Employees

by Christine Stuart | Sep 4, 2015 Posted to: Jobs | Labor

The Connecticut AFL-CIO publicly protested the decision by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s Labor Department to lay off 95 workers Friday, a day after the administration announced it has found room for 22 of them in other state agencies.

The AFL-CIO, which is a coalition of unions, will protest the closure of six job centers and a reduction in the workforce at the Labor Department site in Meriden Friday morning.

On Thursday, Malloy’s administration announced 22 of the 95 impacted employees were placed in previously vacant positions, including seven employees who were chosen to fill vacant examiner positions at the Department of Motor Vehicles to help reduce wait times at DMV branches. Only three employees opted to accept a layoff.
